Curriculum and course offerings . . .

Grades K5-5

Grades K5-5 are basic foundational learning years. Reading, writing, math, and Bible are taught and re-emphasized until mastery of these major subjects is met. History, spelling, music, art, physical education, computer, and science are also taught from the traditional view. The elementary curriculum is from Bob Jones Press and ABeka.

Grades 6-8

Grades 6-8 are the middle school years as they prepare for high school. The basic subjects are taught in a manner to build on the foundation that was given in the elementary grades and prepare them for the higher-level courses. Middle school curriculum is from Bob Jones Press, except for math which is from McDougal Littell. Along with the basic subjects, art, band, chorus, computer, piano and voice instruction are offered.

Grades 9-12

Grades 9-12 are the high school years. All students entering 9th grade begin a college preparatory program designed to meet all University of North Carolina system college entrance requirements. Our comprehensive high school curriculum offers Bible, history, literature, grammar, vocabulary, speech and journalism, algebra, geometry, calculus, Spanish, economics, consumer math, chorus, band, voice, piano, drama, physical science, labs and/or demonstrations for biology, chemistry, physics, health, physical education, and computer.
